theCOMINGHOME
We believe culture is something we build together.
theCOMINGHOME exists to celebrate the people who shape culture long before history decides to remember them.
We are drawn to the makers who keep neighborhoods alive, the musicians who create new languages, the artists who teach us to see differently, and the people whose work quietly changes the communities around them. Their names may never appear in textbooks, but their influence can be found everywhere.
Our name comes from a historic East Side Festival along Mt. Vernon Avenue in Columbus, Ohio—a gathering that honored the creators, makers, and architects whose work helped define the city's artistic heritage.
Today, theCOMINGHOME is a creative studio exploring culture through projects, publishing, gatherings, RADIO, and thoughtfully made objects. Every chapter is an invitation to participate—to listen more closely, create more generously, and gather more often.
We believe the things we carry should carry meaning.
We believe good conversations deserve a table.
We believe neighborhoods deserve careful attention.
We believe generosity is a creative practice.
Above all, we believe culture isn't inherited.
It is made.
And every generation has a responsibility to leave it richer than they found it.
If our work inspires you to see your own community with fresh eyes, to make something with intention, or to gather people around an idea worth sharing, then we've done our job.
Welcome home.
